Lunar eclipse next September 28th

25/09/2015 10:34

This Monday, a total lunar eclipse will take place and will be visible from several regions, even Europe.

This will be the second lunar eclipse of 2015 and the last one of a series of 4 consecutive lunar eclipses in 6 month intervals since 2014. The eclipse will be visible from the eastern Pacific Ocean, North and South America, Europe, Africa and western Asia. A great part of the world will be able to attend this event.

We commonly refer to this event as Blood Moon because it is a phenomenon which dyes our satellite with a reddish light, blocking the sun and coloring its borders as if they were on fire.

The eclipse's total phase will begin at 2:10 AM (UTC) and will last for 73 minutes, so you'll have to wake up early adventurers!

Take some pictures and send them to us!

See you soon with more news!
